G550 & TV out question

Can anyone outline the procedure for using TV out as the only output device with a G550?

I want to install Ubuntu and use a TV as my only monitor. I have messed around with this before with varying levels of success, but I am just wondering if anyone else has a foolproof method.

I don't know, if that's possible at all.
What have you tried up to now? Did you try to enable the TV option for your
device section already as mentioned in the readme file?

No matter what you're trying, I need to see your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and
/var/log/Xorg.0.log files to get an idea about what's going wrong with your
configuration to be able to help you.

Please attach these two files to your next message and tell me what you
already tried.
