Parhelia UVESAFB works @ 75Hz (or higher)

Postby frank33 » Tue Feb 17, 2009 6:40 pm

Hi,
since 2.6.24 onwards uvesafb is in the kernel that provides a VESA framebuffer with extra functionality.

For me it works with a Parhelia P750 in high resolutions like 1024x768-32 and with a 75Hz refresh rate.
Install instructions are here: http://dev.gentoo.org/~spock/projects/uvesafb/
Be sure to add the 'redraw' kernel-argument instead of ywrap, otherwise the system freezes.

Example:
kernel bzImage root=/dev/hda3 video=uvesafb:800x600-16@75,mtrr=3,redraw
