Nvidia 8800 series and Triplehead

Postby knuttability » Fri Jun 01, 2007 4:38 pm

There seems to be some problems with the 8800 series and Matrox Triplehead, and I just got this confirmed by Matrox support.

My problem is that in the highest resolution (3840 x 1024) quite alot of disturbance appears across the span. It increases in strength the farther to the right you go.

Older models did not have this problem.

I am wondering if any of you have a working setup with Triplehead + 88**, and of course which brand and model you use..?

What did they say exactly about your issue?
And what is your issue?
What Matrox card are you using? What setup are you trying to achieve?

What is the Nvidia 8800 series? Is this a chipset or an additional graphics
card or ...?

Older models did not have this problem.

Older models of what? The Nvidia stuff or the Matrox card?

You are asking questions that can be answered either by reading my initial post or by using a search engine.

- And Matrox Triplehead is not a card but an external module.

Stop it, now!
_YOU_ are posting a question here because _YOU_ need help.
Your initial post describes your wishes only vaguely and I am not responsible
for clearing this stuff up. Why should I have to google all the missing parts
of your question together just to be finally able to help you?

I asked you, what _EXACTLY_ the guys from Matrox said, not what you
interpreted out of their sayings.

Matrox Triplehead can mean fairly anything, but it is _NOT_ Triplehead 2 Go
(therefore the name "TH2GO", you know?).

Next time, do your homework before answering such bullshit to me.

Besides: You're wrong here, Matrox *2Go appliances are just multiplexers
without the need of drivers on the linux side and therefore, nothing can be
configured on the linux side.
