Already done! I did it before I posted to this forum. Still no response from
them...

Oh, well... I thought that it would be like this :-/

I will try the older BIOS versions.

Please report back if that worked!

I tried the following 3 versions:

pbioslin-1.06.02.04
sysutil_1805
sysutil_1904

None worked. Am I connecting the monitor correctly? For Dual Link, I only need one cable, right? Also, my monitor instructions say that I have to connect a USB cable from my monitor to my computer. What is this for?

As I have never done anything with DualLink:

Is your monitor DualLink capable?

For Dual Link, I only need one cable, right?

AFAI understood the HR256 cabling instructions, you have to connect
two cables to your monitor. Maybe, that's why it is called "Dual-Link" :)

Also, my monitor instructions say that I have to connect a USB cable from my
monitor to my computer. What is this for?

As you quote your "monitor instructions", I guess, my first question has been
answered, right? :)
According to the [Matrox Parhelia HR256 user guide]:

Code: Select all
Note: The USB connector on your
LFH60-USB cable is used if you need to
update the settings on your monitor. The
USB connector should only be connected
after the software update for your monitor
is installed. This software update may be
available on your Matrox installation
CD-ROM, on the Matrox Web site
(www.matrox.com), or by contacting
your monitor manufacturer.
