MED3mp greyscale, 3D and resolution problem

Postby derNarr » Sun Oct 11, 2009 6:48 pm

I try to run a Matrox MED3mp graphic card with a Eizo RadiForce GS320 TFT-monitor.

I have installed the newest driver (mtxdriver-installer-x86_32-cvs-20090511.run) from the matrox website with the gcc version (4.1.3) of the kernel (2.6.26-2-686).

I have installed the newest BIOS of the graphic card.

I have changed the xorg.conf.

The grafic card and the monitor are connected via DVI.

The Problems:

Resolution -- I cannot use the resolution of the monitor of 2048x1536.

Grayscale -- I cannot use a depth of 10 bit to use all 1024 greys.

3D and/or RGB -- glxgears give the following

Code: Select all
Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual

If there are any workarounds I didn't found, I apologize. I searched for nearly two days for answers, but don't get the right idea.
