Hi,
I try to install the matroxdriver_mtx-x86_32-1.4.6.2-installer on my Opensuse 11.1. I use the auto installer and i say yes to autoconfigure xorg.conf.
But when i try to execute startx I obtain this error:

Actually, that's a different error:

Code: Select all
dlopen: /usr/lib/xorg/modules//drivers/mtx_drv.so: undefined symbol: xf86errno

I should have looked more carefully at your log output before answering: You're using Xorg 1.5 and there's currently no Parhelia driver that works with this Xorg release - at least none that I know of.

But, you may want to contact Matrox Tech Support and ask them for a beta version of the next upcoming driver release.
