Fails to run in Ubuntu 9.04 - x86_64

Postby augustorighetto » Sun Jul 05, 2009 9:47 am

Hi fellows,

I can compile and install the vpnclient-linux-x86_64-4.8.02.0030-k9.tar.gz with vpnclient-linux-4.8.02-64bit.patch on my Ubuntu 9.04 x86_64 box (2.6.28-13-generic #45-Ubuntu SMP), but when I try to run vpnclient, the shell (bash) returns with this error:
bash: /usr/local/bin/vpnclient: No such file or directory

I changed the permissions of vpnclient in opt directory to 755. After run the "file" command on vpnclient, I saw that the vpnclient is an 32-bit executable.

Is that right? The vpnclient installed by vpnclient-linux-x86_64-4.8.02.0030-k9.tar.gz installs an 32-bit application? If is that right, how can I put that to work on my 64-bit Ubuntu box?

Regard,

Augusto

The answer was in the bottom of main web page (RTFM)....
I installed the ia32-libs package and everything is working now.
