Since this seems to be a 64bit installation, you need to apply stephen frost's patch to get rid of the "invalid operand to binary -" message.

This is the patch you need to download: [http://projects.tuxx-home.at/ciscovpn/patches/vpnclient-linux-4.8.02-64bit.patch]

After you've downloaded it, run the following commands:

cd /home/olub/vpn/vpnclient
patch -p1 </path/to/the/downloaded/vpnclient-linux-4.8.02-64bit.patch
sudo ./vpn_install


Then, the compilation should work.
