SOLVED: vpn client x86_64-4.8.02.0030-k9 & Fedora 14 64bit

Hi Friends:

Environment:

    - O/S: Fedora 14 64bit
    - VPNclient: x86_64-4.8.02.0030-k9.tar.gz
    - Kernel: 2.6.35.11-83.fc14.x86_64 (Fedora's build).
    - CPU is INTEL i5 (not AMD)

A compile fails after doing the following (per the URL http://projects.tuxx-home.at/?id=cisco_vpn_client)....

nmvega@e6510$ cd vpnclient
nmvega@e6510$ wget -q http://projects.tuxx-home.at/ciscovpn/p ... fset.patch
nmvega@e6510$ patch < ./cisco_skbuff_offset.patch
nmvega@e6510$ vi Makefile (changed CFLAGS to EXTRA_CFLAGS wherever it occured)
nmvega@e6510$ make

Code: Select all
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.35.11-83.fc14.x86_64/build SUBDIRS=/home/nmvega/Download/vpnclient modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/kernels/2.6.35.11-83.fc14.x86_64'

Any ideas. I'd appreciate the assistance.

Thanks & Regards,
Noel

SOLVED:

I found the solution here. Follow the steps verbatim in either URL (which have essentially the same instructions),
and it should work for the case I laid out:

http://www.associatedcontent.com/articl ... tml?cat=59
http://www.lamnk.com/blog/vpn/how-to-in ... la-64-bit/

I hope this helps others.

Noel
