How to install G550 PCIe on Fedora 12

Postby Franck » Tue Mar 09, 2010 4:45 pm

Hello,

Does anyone has any ideas on how to use the Matrox G550 PCIe in Fedora 12?

I tried the driver from matrox and the unofficial driver, and get an error message on my X server version being to new: 1.7.5.901

Any link would be appriciated.

Thank you

Franck

Maybe this: http://forum.tuxx-home.at/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=748&start=15 and some hints from the comments in this bug report: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=466318 can help to make the stock driver usable.
