Installing unofficial driver 4.4.2 on Zenwalk 4.2

Postby Bete des Vosges » Wed Jan 31, 2007 10:38 pm

Hello

I just installed matroxdriver_mga-x86_32-4.4.2 on my brand new zenwalk 4.2.
It is based on slackware 11.0, with 2.6.18.6 kernel and xorg 7.7.1.
I run it with a G550 and get the infamous DRI locking bug with the vanilla mga driver.

You just have to do a:
ln -s /usr/lib/X11 /usr/lib/xorg

prior to run the installer.

HTH

Thanks for the patched driver. :)

The next driver version will respect Xorg paths more than the current one
does, but many thanks for this information and for the feedback!

Thanks for the patched driver. :)

You're welcome!
