For Fedora there is this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=466318

With matroxfb_base.vesa=0x11B as boot parameter for 1280x1024 resolution as workaround
on the Fedora-12-i686-Live-KDE image I get this :

Seems with little quirks to set the right initial mode for matroxfb the stock driver is usable.

Firstly, shame this forum has been so damaged by spam - ive found it very useful, thanks Alex et al.

Whats the latest with the mga driver with the newer xorgs? Will the mga 4.4.4 download on this site work with :
